Reagents :

Hardness Buffer Reagent No. 5 (15ml)
Hardness Indicating Reagent No. 6 ( 30grms)
Hardness Titration Reagent No. 7 ( 100ml )

Procedure :

1. Fill the Test Tube to the 10 ml level with the water sample to be tested.
2. Add 5 drops of the Hardness Buffer Reagent No.5 to water sample and mix.
3. Add 1 spoon Hardness Indicator Reagent No. 6. Insert Test Tube Cap and mix.
4. The Titrator is filled with the Hardness Titration Reagent No.7 to the 'Zero' mark. Insert Titrator in the centre hole of the Titration Tube Cap.
5. The Hardness Test Reagent No.7 is added drop by drop, shaking gently between drops, until red colour changes to clear blue.
6. The result is obtained in PPM Calcium Carbonate by multiplying the Titrator reading by 10.
