NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid is a blend of low molecular weight polymers and defoaming agents designed to prevent deposit formation and foaming in high and low pressure evaporators.

Advantages :

NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid prevents scale by crystal distortion, dispersion, and absorption of scale forming minerals.
CRYSTAL DISTORTION--- As soluble minerals are forced out of solution during evaporation they go through an intermediate crystal stage before forming dense deposits. NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid reacts with the crystals causing them to be distorted and irregularly shaped. The distorted crystals do not form dense and uniform deposits which would adhere to evaporator surfaces.

DISPERSION AND ABSORBTION----NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid disperses solid materials formed during evaporation by absorbing them into polymers. The polymer gives the absorbed particles like electrical charges causing them to repel each other and therefore preventing agglomeration and deposition.

Application :

NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid should be fed continuously to the evaporator inlet line. NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid can be diluted with fresh water and the feed solution introduced with an positive displacement metering ppm.

Dosage :

NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid will clean up moderate amount of existing deposits. Double the dosage rates previously recommended during the clean- up period.
The recommended dosage rate is 10 ppm i.e.10 mI per ton of distilled water produced per day based on this ratio capacity at normal operating temperature and a brine density of 1.5/32 nds. If the brine densify is increased the dosage should be increased proportionally.

Scale Inhibitor for Sugar Process :

NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid is a low molecular weight polyacrylic acid polymer for use as a scale inhibitor during sugar processing. The product complies with FDA clearance for food contact use.

Sugar Processing Application :

Heavy scaling occurs all along the evaporation line where the thin juice must be concentrated before crystallization. Without any treatment scaling is responsible for progressively dropping the production capacity and increasing the manufacturing costs and the demand of energy.
At the final stage the sugar mill must be shut down for cleaning. Scale inhibitors are necessary to inhibit the deposition taking place in the different evaporators bodies. NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid is particularly recommended in beets and cane sugar mills whenever the scale formed is mainly based on calcium carbonate, calcium oxalate and calcium sulfate. Optimization of the treatment with NOVACHEM EVAPORATREAT Liquid is generally reached by injecting the product in different injection points of the evaporation bodies.
